Spicy Cilantro Dip

I’m a sauce girl.  I like to dip or dunk pretty much all of my food.  This spicy cilantro dip was created a few years ago when I wanted a sauce for turkey burgers.  I took what I had in the refrigerator, threw it in the food processor and have loved it ever since.  We put this sauce on everything and use it as a dip all the time.  It went on burgers Sunday, pizza was dipped in it on Monday and quesadillas on Tuesday just this week…It is so good as a dip with chips, a topping for roasted veggies or even on a salad.  You can make it spicy or very mild depending on your taste.

Ingredients:

1 cup sour cream

1 cup mayonnaise

1/2 of a bunch of cilantro leaves

1/2 small onion

1-2 cloves of garlic

1 jalapeno with or without the ribs and seeds depending on how spicy you want the dip

1/2 tsp garlic salt

Take half the leaves from a large bunch of cilantro, garlic, roughly chopped onion and jalapeno and add to your food processor.  Pulse the food processor a few time to combine and then completely blend until the ingredients are tiny and mixed really well.

Add the sour cream and mayo.  Pulse the food processor again for about 10 seconds until the ingredients are fully combined. Add salt to taste.
