My husband loves craft beer and loves trying all of the breweries around our house. My favorite one serves this amazing beer cheese dip with pretzels. I can eat buckets of it. Well, I decided to try to recreate the dip at home this weekend. I think it turned out really well. We happened to have some bacon left from sandwiches a couple days ago so I decided to add some of that because doesn’t bacon make everything better?
Here is what I used:
1 8 oz package of cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
3-4 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled
2 green onions, chopped
1/3 packet of ranch dressing powder mix
2 oz of beer
Add the softened cream cheese to a bowl and mix in the cheddar cheese, chopped bacon, green onion and ranch mix. Once those ingredients are mixed up really well, pour in the beer. It is going to seem very runny at first, but as you mix it up, it will get incorporated. Refrigerate that for at least an hour. When you’re ready to serve it, top it with a little bit of cheese, bacon and green onion if youd want.
I served the dip with pretzels, but it would also be good with potato chips, crackers or even veggies.
