Breakfast Sandwiches

I got this Hamilton Beach breakfast sandwich maker for Christmas a couple of years ago and absolutely love it. I make a bunch of sandwiches for the week or, most recently, for my husband to take to Michigan for their annual golf weekend.  The sandwiches are super easy to make and keep in the fridge really well.  I love that I can change up the ingredients to use what I have in the house.  Try this thing out!

Here is what you’ll need:

Hamilton Beach Breakfast Sandwich Maker

6 eggs

6 English muffins

6 slices of cheese

6 pieces of ham (meat is optional)

Spray oil


Start by heating up the sandwich maker. There is a “Ready” light that will flip on when it is preheated.  Open up the lid and put half of the English muffin in the bottom of the maker.  You could also use a bagel or bread, but it is the perfect size for an English muffin.  The bottom of the maker will toast the muffin.

Add a slice of cheese here and it will get nice and melted. I’ve used American cheese, pepperjack, and even a thin slice of Velveeta. This is where you can add ham, cooked bacon or Canadian bacon if you want to add some meat.


Lower the next piece of the maker, spray with oil then crack the egg and close the lid. I usually bust the yolk to make a fried egg, but you can do scrambled or any other kind of eggs you like. The egg will cook in about 3 minutes or so.



Once the egg is cooked, open the top and add any veggies you like and the top of the English muffin.  Close the lid again and let it heat the top of the muffin for another minute or 2.  Then you swing the piece out that cooks the egg and the sandwich comes together.

And that’s it! You’re done with the the whole sandwich in about 5 minutes. The best part is that you can throw the middle piece that gets dirty right in the dishwasher. Gotta love that!

It is a great way to make healthy breakfasts for the week or just a quick way to make your family breakfast. It even comes in a double sandwich maker! I may be checking that out soon.
